Ricardo O’Nascimento is an artist and researcher on the field of new media and interactive art. He investigates body-environment relations focused on interface development for worn devices, interactive installations and hybrid environments. In 2006 Ricardo found Popkalab in Linz (Austria) and São Paulo (Brazil), which is a platform to develop and present his creations. Projects focused on fashion, design, projection and technology. They include interactive video installations, interactive walls, prototype for intelligent clothing, game development and interface development. He presented his work in several festivals and conferences as Ars Electronica festival, FILE festival, Social Fabrics, ACE and ARTECH among others. His pieces have been published and broadcasted in books, tv shows, magazines and blogs. Popkalab also counts with a network of specialists in design, trend, photography, technology developers, engineers, programmers, architects and scientists to develop new and fresh ideas.
