biography

Patricia Rodriguez was born in Mallorca Spain, raised in Edmonton Canada, and is currently living and working in Toronto Canada. Formally trained in the visual arts, she is a multidisciplinary specialist, integrating analog and digital technologies. She delights in playing with perception and problem-solving. Her love of improvisation translates into works and performances incorporating movement, sound and light (including video and film), as well as collaborations with musicians and other artists. She has shown her work alongside Richie Hawtin, Monolake, Derrick May, and Damo Suzuki of Can to name a few. She has also worked with several collectives including clonk. Much of her current work promotes wellness, including a website devoted to healthy baking. Patricia is currently the art director for Substance Communications, a creative design studio she runs with her partner.
