LFLECT is a collection developed by Lost Values for urban cyclists. Could reflective products be both visible and stylish?
Why do you think it is important to make intelligent clothes?
'I like to believe that materials we wear can provide us with the qualities we do not naturally posses—but perhaps these are present within other animals—and this can mean anything from healing properties to weather resistance, to unique communication abilities, illumination, transformation, energy production, (near) invisibility, etc.'
What future developments do you predict within wearable technology?
' …as awareness increases about new manufacturing methods such as rapid prototyping, consumers can assert their individuality, and trust their own criteria and while being more proactive and involved in customizing clothes to their needs. Designing intelligent clothing is important, but it is even more important to design ways for people to customize their clothes.'
