Minimalism has always been a part of my music, both in terms of aesthetic and production. In terms of production, these tracks, as with most of my music, were created using a single sound source – in this case, electric guitar – which signal was processed and/or sampled live using either non-standard methods of performance and/or various effects pedals. Aesthetically, these tracks explore the juxtapostion between minimalism and maximalism – a minimal sonic palette and/or modal expression is built into a sonically maximal soundscape…as such, one might consider this maximalism within a minimalist context.
