Our peer Markus Heckmann (aka Wüstenarchitekten) tipped me off about a recent project that I couldn't resist sharing. Markus describes his experiment (Wandler, embedded above) as: "a single frame of an animation captured on slidefilm with a generative animation running behind the slides." It is certainly hard to argue with the simplicity of the piece, which, like the underlying score (Monolake's "void") is both restrained and nuanced.
